Persol is the local partner for NET1 in the rollout of the Bank of Ghana E-zwich National Smartcard project which was rolled out in 2008 nationwide. Persol is responsible for managing the preparation and rollout of over 7000 POS terminals to Ghanaian banks.

Net 1 is the leading provider of smart card technologies and systems that create a secure and affordable transacting channel between formal businesses and the “banked”, “un-banked” and “under-banked” populations of developing countries who have no or limited access to traditional banking facilities. Persol prepares the terminals for Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS) Limited, the company responsible for managing the national electronic banking switch.
